Wild Chairy
Vintage chairs rebuilt with traditional upholstery and bold fabrics
About Wild Chairy
Andrea Mihalik, a former photojournalist and Tyler School of Art graduate, runs Wild Chairy, rebuilding secondhand and heirloom chairs as one-of-a-kind upholstered pieces. She uses traditional methods such as hand-tied springs, horsehair stuffing and natural batting, then repaints the frames and covers them in bold or unusual fabrics. Her studio has been in Philadelphia.
