Blind Mike's Pottery
Wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery by a blind Carlisle potter
About Blind Mike's Pottery
Blind Mike's Pottery is the studio of Mike Grove in Carlisle, a former painter who lost his sight and took up clay through a community college class in 2009. Working by touch on the wheel and with hand-building, he makes functional cups and vases as well as playful sculptural pieces such as snails and other small creatures.
